Many herbs and supplements are helpful in promoting healthy skin. The following is a list of internal and external herbal remedies for great looking skin.
Internally, these are all helpful for any inflammatory skin condition such as eczema, and acne:
- Milk Thistle
- Burdock Root
- Pau d’Arco
- Neem Leaf
- Licorice
To moisten dry skin, you can regularly drink any of the following as a tea:
- Dandelion
- Peppermint
- Calendula
- Borage
- Chamomile
Aloe vera taken internally is especially helpful for dry skin. Externally, aloe vera gel helps with all skin problems, as does tea tree oil. Calendula oil helps soothe eczema and skin irritations. If you wear make-up, try giving your face a reprieve for a few days to let your skin breathe. When using creams and lotions, avoid products with mineral oils, and look for those with a natural base such as a plant oil or butter.
