Kelley works with undetected emotional or spiritual issues that can manifest as physical imbalances and transforms these energy blockages

Srinika Narayan: Hi, I’m Srinika Narayan. I do nutritional analysis and acupuncture, and today, we will be talking to Kelley Kessler, also known as Shaman KK. Kelley is a shamanic healer, and she will be talking about her work and the valuable insights it provides into people’s emotional, spiritual, and physical wellbeing. Welcome, Kelley.
Kelley Kessler: Thank you, Srinika.
Srinika Narayan: Yeah. Well, let’s start with, if you could tell me a little bit about your background and how you got into this field.
Kelley Kessler: Sure. Thank you, Srinika. Srinika, I started as a clinical social worker. Actually, I got my MSW from NYU and was a therapist for many years, and then out here in California, had a career in child welfare for over 20 years. So, I was a sensitive child, always care-taking, caring about the animals and the children, very sensitive. In my early 30s, I started doing channeling work and psychic work and meeting many healers and teachers and practicing the different art of receiving through our different senses that sometimes, we think of as a little bit more extraordinary than the five senses that we are more familiar with.
Srinika Narayan: Right. Very interesting.
Kelley Kessler: Yeah. Yes.
Srinika Narayan: Okay. Great. Then, so with my work in nutritional analysis, it involves reading the body’s energy to pick up things like food sensitivities or toxicities in the body, very physical things, and I use applied kinesiology to communicate with the body. How do you work as a shaman? How do you communicate with a person’s spirit or their body?
Kelley Kessler: Yeah, that’s an excellent question. So, I did go to a shamanic practitioner school. I went to several, and they teach us ancient shamanic techniques. One of the cornerstones is the shamanic journey, and this is where we learn to use our gifts. So, I have a very keen gift of clairvoyancy, and so a lot of my work is done through clairvoyant work but also clairaudient, clairsentient, the feeling of something, claircognizant.
Some people aren’t awakened to their gifts or have never tried or don’t think they have them, but my experience is, both for myself and my clients, when we relax our brain waves … So, the premise is that when we’re talking here, were at full alert, we’re on the beta brainwave. When we start to daydream a little bit, we go more to the beta brainwave. Our body has a natural ability to relax, and it’s on the theta wave, which is the way where we are when we’re dreaming, and I like to think of it as the keyhole to the universe where we can actually see the visual cortex like many of us see in our dreams. When we wake up, we’ll say, “I saw an entire story. It felt so real.” Our minds and our psyches and our bodies experiencing not only on the visible side but also on the non-visible.
So, in the shamanic journey, we use what’s called the three worlds. So, it’s literally using our attention, our intention, and our imagination, which I believe are three of the most powerful tools. In many of the work all of us do is that we put our attention towards something, our intention or desire to do it, and then we use our imagination to get it done, be it thinking of the next five steps we want to do, drawing the blueprints. We manifest it into reality.
Srinika Narayan: Right.
Kelley Kessler: So, these ideas can be a little bit more fluid than maybe we’re used to thinking of. So, in the shamanic journey, I myself, and I’ll have my clients imagine the tree of life. So, while their eyes are closed, I work with the massage table. If you’re in person with me in my healing space, if it’s remote or if you’re at home, you’re lying down comfortably, perhaps you have an eye mask, a blanket, and so this starts to induce the relaxation of the body and of the mind. Through imagining the tree of life, we will often get a sense of going to the lower world. We will literally feel ourselves dropping. Sometimes, it’s like going through roots. Sometimes, we get what … People will have the sensation of suck back through a tunnel. I myself go through a geyser. It’s imagery that we’re using with intention.
There’s also the middle world journey where it’s more of the feeling of staying right at the tree where we are more in our world, where we are in the third dimension, this plane. Then, there’s the upper world journey where it feels like we’re going up the tree, up the branches, out into the sky. Some people are immediately in what feels like a very ethereal, spiritual world, and so with the shamanic journey, oftentimes, we’ll get there through the monotone vibrations, the use of the rattle, the use of the drum. I lead shamanic journey groups while I drum to help the mind get into the monotone vibration, again, relaxing the brainwave to the theta, tuning the internal and external vibrations.
Then, we will ask spirit for information or healing with our intent. Many of us will see. My clients are always so surprised. Their eyes will be closed, can be a little bit like the Magic 8-Ball. It’ll slowly come around, and we’ll see, which is called clairvoyancy. Other times, people will just have a sense or a deep knowing. They’ll feel it in their body. My clients will say, “I don’t think I’m getting anything, but I feel all this energy going out my feet.” Well, they are. They’re receiving clairsentiently, which we receive all the time. We’re sentient beings, so we’re always feeling. We do this much more than we realize. We feel like being close to someone. We feel like being further from them. We feel like being in a certain energy field or maybe vortex. Many of us enjoy being in nature because we attune so much with the vibrations that we are as known as one with. We’re from the same, as I’d like to say, periodic table of elements.
Srinika Narayan: Yeah, right.
Kelley Kessler: We really are one, created from similar things. So, a lot of my work is done through the shamanic journey. I also use a pendulum for testing.
Srinika Narayan: Wow.
Kelley Kessler: I use crystals, and many of these techniques were taught to me in my shamanic practitioner’s course. Others, I’ve learned from spirit along the way from doing it so much. So, I will literally watch the healing vision, and then I’ll use myself as a channel. If you’re in front of me on my massage table, you’ll have an eye mask, a blanket, and I’m using my pendulum to see which chakra, which energy center or portal that we have along our spine, is this information living in? It’s magnetic. There’s the electromagnetic spectrum where everything’s vibrating and magnetic. Things will magnetically live in certain spots. Sometimes, we know it where we’ll say, “Oh, I have a gut feeling,” or, “I feel it in my heart,” because we do. We’re feeling.
So, I will find the chakra, which we call a compromise or imbalance. The pendulum will swing counterclockwise. Sometimes, we’ll already have an intuitive feeling whereas the person is speaking during the client interview, they’ll keep touching their heart or touching their stomach. I’ll even ask them, “When you think about the issue you’ve come to get healed, you don’t have to overthink or tell a whole narrative,” which can be very different than more of the talk therapies. I’ll say, “Where do you feel that?” They’ll think about it, and they’ll point. Many times, it is that chakra that I find is compromised.
Srinika Narayan: Interesting.
Kelley Kessler: I’ll open it up. It’s called the soul illumination. There’s many steps throughout it, which I can explain, but essentially, we’re going to clear out the information in that chakra. We’re going to illuminate it with a white light, and we’re going to seal it. This re-informs the energy body, the light body. It often will be seen like magic. Someone will come once, and it will dissipate.
I believe it’s because I or we are channeling the power of the universe, the creator that created us so I … Sometimes, clients will say, “What do you think?” I can say what I think. I’m experienced. I have a good intuition, but I truly will have to journey to the other side and ask spirit to receive, and then I’ll receive the vision. Not only am I watching it, but the energy is moving. Spirit is moving the energy, and there’s many more traditional ways that it does it. It’s how it becomes familiar to me. I’m like, “Oh, okay.” So, now, we’ll have a dismemberment, which is a type of healing that spirit will do, but they’re always specific to the client. It’s beautiful. No two are exactly the same. It’s as unique as we are, and it’s really beautiful.
So, what they often teach us through … What shamans or medicine people will do is use ourselves as that portal, that channel where we are receiving information from the non-physical side through our senses, the clairvoyancy or clairaudient, clairsentient, and then we’re working in the physical realm even if the person is remote. I will imagine them on my massage table. Another very important cornerstone actually, which has been on my mind but I haven’t mentioned, is that we use our spirit guides, our power animals, our spirit guides, our angels, our ancestors. We start to get to know them.
Some people know them from childhood. They’ll say, “Oh, my great grandmother has always been with me,” or some of us will have an imaginary friend or a pet that we loved that’s always with us. When you talk to people, people have a variety and experiences that maybe they don’t typically tell someone. Maybe it’s not in our culture. We didn’t learn it, or it was severed. There’s lots of societal conditioning, more than a lot of societal conditioning. So, in the shamanic journey, the first thing that I was taught and that I like to teach people is to ask for one of their, what I’d like to call celestial beings.
Srinika Narayan: Like their helpers.
Kelley Kessler: Their helpers, exactly. A power animal, an angel, a spirit guide, and their archetypes, their energies many times specific to us, but more archetypal, ascended masters. Oftentimes, I’ll see figures, and that it won’t be familiar. I see so clear that then, I can look it up literally in detail, and it’ll show me what deity, what ancient healing practice just happened.
Srinika Narayan: Yeah, interesting.
Kelley Kessler: What animal? Sometimes, the animals are so specific.
Srinika Narayan: Yeah. I have a question about-
Kelley Kessler: I don’t know the animal so-
Srinika Narayan: Yeah, animals. I know you … yeah, or find power animals a lot for people.
Kelley Kessler: Yes.
Srinika Narayan: That’s such a new concept for me. Angels and spirit guides, I’ve kind of heard of before but power animals, how do you describe them to people? I mean, are they animals that are angels or why-
Kelley Kessler: Yeah. That’s a good question. I think it’s conceptual. I don’t think there’s a right or wrong. I believe from what I learned, the practice of retrieving power animal is known to many indigenous cultures. The first people of America, of the Americas, in many native cultures, they will retrieve or merge or use the power animal. In the lineage that I learned from the Q’ero of the High Andes, the shamanic practitioners, the word shaman, that was taken from the events in upper … above Russia and Siberia-
Srinika Narayan: Siberia.
Kelley Kessler: … when the Russians invaded. The word shaman itself, my understanding, is an appropriated word from those people.
Srinika Narayan: Okay.
Kelley Kessler: They refer to themselves as samans. When the Russians came in, the Russian word is shaman.
Srinika Narayan: Right, okay.
Kelley Kessler: So, as they went all over the world and colonized, when they would see medicine people, medicine men, women, they would call them shamans, but each culture-
Srinika Narayan: Has had their own shaman-
Kelley Kessler: … has their own word for it. They-
Srinika Narayan: Yeah, their own word and-
Kelley Kessler: Yeah. They had their own word, their own practices, their own rituals, their own understandings. I think as we look at concentric circles, we can think of us as all one, but then as we break down into more specific peoples and eras and tribes, things do get very specific to the clothing, the food, the beliefs, the history-
Srinika Narayan: Yeah, the herbs. Yeah.
Kelley Kessler: … or what happens to the people, the herbs. So, for the power animal, I’ve heard that like … I’ll use myself as an example. My first power animal, I’ve told you this story before, is a raccoon. So, the medicine would be … It’s not just a raccoon. It’s raccoon medicine. So, I looked it up and researched it, and it is fascinating. I mean, it’s me to a T, right? Spirit doesn’t get it wrong. I love to say I defer to spirit. I’m not stupid. I know to defer. I can tell you what I think. You may have it right, but spirit is … Defer to spirit. So, but what I found is even though the medicine is raccoon, I still have a very specific raccoon. He has an identity. He has a name. He has a personality, and so our spirit animals, many times, if not all the time, at least the clients I work with, will have very specific personalities. It’s genius really, and it’s mind-blowing too.
Srinika Narayan: Interesting. I mean, first, it’s a raccoon. Hat does it exactly represent? An animal that kind of clever or-
Kelley Kessler: Yeah. Raccoons are very … Well, one, they are tricksters, right? They come out in the dark, and they have their masks. So, even as not the therapists or healers or tricksters, but we are … We’re going in, right? We’re going into the dark, things that people normally wouldn’t … It’s not their sun side that they’re coming to tell us. It’s their shadow side. It’s their inside. It’s the things that make them feel vulnerable or ashamed or upset or things that have happened that are traumatic, and so it’s going into the dark and looking and identifying what we can call as the [inaudible 00:14:41], and cleaning it out like how raccoons, right? They’re going to go in. They’re going to clean out, hopefully not your garbage outside but they do. What we do is heal our sin as we bring in the light, and so the raccoon, I think, can be seen as the trickster who-
Srinika Narayan: Yeah. They love to go in.
Kelley Kessler: Yeah, exactly.
Srinika Narayan: So, these power animals kind of represent our strengths?
Kelley Kessler: I think so. They represent, I think, energies.
Srinika Narayan: Energies, okay.
Kelley Kessler: They’ll mirror us. I read a bit about the raccoon where raccoon can take almost like a tornado of information and go right to the center and synthesize it down.
Srinika Narayan: Interesting, yeah.
Kelley Kessler: In my career in child welfare, that’s exactly what I did. I was a supervisor on a hotline. I would take all this information, and I had this knack of synthesizing it down into a single point so that people could get a clear view of it and assessment of it because we’re assessing. We’re trying it at 360 degrees as much as we can.
Srinika Narayan: Right.
Kelley Kessler: I thought, yeah, I really do take a lot of nebulous information and synthesize it down into clarity.
Srinika Narayan: Okay. Yeah.
Kelley Kessler: So, I was like, oh, so the more I would study, the more I would understand my … I have many power animals, but he seems to be my primary one. I do believe that the properties are mirroring the properties of the person.
Srinika Narayan: Interesting.
Kelley Kessler: Almost like how people will look like their dogs. I don’t know if you’ve noticed that.
Srinika Narayan: Yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah, absolutely.
Kelley Kessler: That’s my favorite thing hiking is, “Wow, red hair, red dog.” Identical, right?
Srinika Narayan: Yeah.
Kelley Kessler: So, we mirror each other.
Srinika Narayan: Okay. Yeah, very interesting.
Kelley Kessler: In our images.
Srinika Narayan: So fascinating. So, you work with chakras, like you said. How about things like generational issues or past life issues? Are you able to work with or see those?
Kelley Kessler: Yeah, very much. Of course, it’s interpretive, right? It’s the person interpretating it, but it will become very clear. The way I like to think about it is with energy, as many of us learned, matter is always existing. It can’t be created or destroyed. It’s vibrating, and it comes together, and it comes apart, right, like into our system where it’s … The light vibrations are moving, and they are constricting and then expanding. So, literally, in the images, you can see constricting and expanding. I like to think of the collective history, our ancestral history, our childhoods, our DNA. We’re downstream of it.
Srinika Narayan: All of these things, yeah.
Kelley Kessler: We’re downstream of it literally like-
Srinika Narayan: Like funneled into … Yeah.
Kelley Kessler: Yeah, where we’re born into. We’re born into a day and time. What we used to call in social work, we would do a biopsychosocial assessments. Biologically, where is your DNA from? I mean, we will look identical to our family, right? Not all the time, but we’ll have the same mannerisms, the same voice. You know as disease will pass down, also, the traumas that will pass down, the collective traumas. We come from our parents’ DNA. So, many times, I can get a sense, and sometimes in the vision, it’ll be very clear that it’s a past life. It doesn’t look like it’s from this time, or people are very able to report if they feel that it’s from childhood or their family or their ancestry.
Srinika Narayan: Like more familiar with that. Yeah.
Kelley Kessler: Yeah, like similar to an assessment for mental health or psychology or social work, we will ask a lot of questions, and then look at the information and like how you do. You assess. You gather it. You feel for it, and you assess it, synthesize it and what does this mean?
Srinika Narayan: Right, right.
Kelley Kessler: So, sometimes, people will have a knowing, but yes. A lot of … The way I think about it is unconscious energy, if it’s charged or if it’s bound, by making it conscious will metabolize the energy.
Srinika Narayan: It’ll process. Okay.
Kelley Kessler: Yeah, so similar to psychotherapies, something’s unconscious, and it slowly becomes conscious. The emotion will be connected to it. People will feel a lot better. Even if it’s very traumatic, as the time goes on and it metabolizes and releases and they get support, they have a different feel about it, a different thought about it. It just doesn’t feel the same anymore.
Srinika Narayan: Yeah, right.
Kelley Kessler: So, with the shamanic work, what I find so powerful about it is because it is spirit doing the work on a quantum level, once it’s done, it’s done.
Srinika Narayan: Interesting.
Kelley Kessler: So, many of my clients, they will only come for one session for that particular issue.
Srinika Narayan: Issue, yeah.
Kelley Kessler: They will report that it’s resolved, and so far, things have stayed resolved.
Srinika Narayan: Oh, great. Yeah, very neat. You gave me an example earlier about a physical … You work on physical things too, physical healing of someone’s shoulder pain.
Kelley Kessler: Yes. So, I had a recent client come and … I’ll change the details of it for confidentiality. So, he came, and he had been having shoulder pain like in the socket. He’s athletic and months and months and months of shoulder pain, physical therapy, hadn’t done any other medications, the painkillers or the opioids. Those are much steeper for the body, but had tried … I don’t know if he had tried acupuncture, but that’s another thing that can be very helpful. He was also going through emotional trauma in his life in the marriage. He had a lot on his shoulders.
From being a healer and a clinician, a therapist for so many years and a social worker, I can start to gather the picture. Even without that kind of education and experience, you can imagine what it feels like when going through emotional turmoil, a separation or marriage dissolving, things happening that are traumatic and so … What I will do, right, that’s one lens I can look at it and gather information, but I did the different steps of how the healings go. So, we start with tea or water. We’ll do the client interview. I’ll explain the different techniques. I’ll test with my pendulum to see which different techniques are called for. There are several that I use, always what’s called the soul illumination, which is the use of crystals and the person focusing on that issue.
So, the client was laying on the massage table. I did various techniques, but where I got the, I believe the cornerstone of the healing was the shamanic journey. So, I will go into a light trance. I’ll use my rattle. I really see best in silence a lot, so I let the client know, “You may hear rattling. You may hear silence.” I take notes on my phone because I’ll start downloading a lot of information. Don’t want to miss the details.
So, for this particular vision, it’s what I learned is called the dismemberment. So, my eyes will be closed. I’ll be merged with all of my helpers, my celestial team. I’ll have already opened up sacred space, which we always work in, calling in all the directions, really setting the energy and protecting us and calling in the benevolent ones to help and to protect. So, for this particular client, it was lower world, which many of my … Even when I go upper world, I always go lower. So, again, I’m imagining the tree. I have a geyser. I have my whole team. We essentially dive down, or I have a crystal dragon, which I can talk about, but go down essentially. I’ll learn the client’s energy by how they join me because some people will literally dive down, part of themselves. Other people will hide. Other people will want to be on the dragon with me.
Srinika Narayan: Interesting.
Kelley Kessler: On the other side, I’m in my mind’s eye, asking their energy, and they’ll show.
Srinika Narayan: Wow.
Kelley Kessler: Kind of like how we dream. We’re not just the only person in the dream. There’s other people, and we’re interacting, right, like come with me.
Srinika Narayan: Yes, in a dream. Yes. Yeah.
Kelley Kessler: Yeah, like come with me. Don’t come with me.
Srinika Narayan: Yeah.
Kelley Kessler: So, similar brainwave. So, this particular person went down. There are certain terrain. It’s very earthly in the lower world, and so for me and for others, I’ve even seen pictures that are paintings of exactly the lower world I see, which is what tells me that these things are the collective unconscious.
Srinika Narayan: Yeah, right.
Kelley Kessler: There, I was like, “I couldn’t believe it.” I saved it. I was like, “That’s exactly what I see.” So, there’ll be the fire. There’s the water’s edge. There’s a beautiful field that will shape shift itself. Sometimes, it’s a field of grass. Sometimes, it’s a field of wheat according to what’s going on. Then, many of the dismemberments, which I’ll explain, happen on an alabaster table. The first time I saw it, I couldn’t even think of the word. I was like, “What is that? Oh, it’s alabaster.”
Then, there’s a river that runs behind it and a jungle, a whole another scene in cosmology, but for this client, went to the alabaster table. A dismemberment is when spirit opens us up. So, my first one, spirit set me at the top of a mountain, and a raven came and took his beak and literally sliced me open and flayed me open, took everything out. I’m watching this. You can’t believe it, right? Let me kind of dry out in the sun, put me all back together, sealed me up, sat me up, and I was like, “Whoa, that was about perspective.”
So, similar, this client had a dismemberment. Spirit laid them on the table, opened them up, took out all of his bones. So, this is while I’m watching, right? Well, while I’m watching, the healing is actually happening because spirit is affecting all the energy on the non-physical level, non-visible to the naked eye, but yeah, all the energy is still happening, which I believe is about 99% of energy is behind the veil. It’s only this 1% of consciousness right now or this 1% that’s seemingly manifested in the physical.
Srinika Narayan: Okay, wow.
Kelley Kessler: So, takes out all his bone, lays them out, and I … kind of remind me of the operator game when we were a kid.
Srinika Narayan: Yeah, right, right. Yeah.
Kelley Kessler: You know, the little bones? Put all the bones out, chose the shoulder, the bone of the arm and the shoulder, took it to the fire and burned it. Burned it until it was white. Brought it back. Put all the bones back in the person. Then, I’ll get the hit like, “That pain is gone.” This person’s going to report to me in about three or four weeks that they are pain free because I can see it. I can feel it. It’s so powerful. While this is happening, the client is usually very sometime sleeping. You got to hear them snoring, which is great because they feel safe enough and relaxed enough as you sleep and let the body heal itself. It’s when we relax that the body can do-
Srinika Narayan: Right, yeah, can do a lot. Yeah.
Kelley Kessler: … what it is magically made to do, the body intelligence that is so … I’ll give the example. If you have a little cut, as long as we keep it clean, we could literally just watch it heal. That, to me, is magic and fascinating, just our existence in and of itself. So, for this client, we put the client in … We would put the client back together. There’s a few more things that happen. I bring the client back up the way they went down. What I do then is I see which chakra was compromised. Usually, it’s our root chakra because that’s our safety, our security, our foundation affected by fear and trauma. It’s our trust that we are safe.
So, of course, for humans or for any living thing on earth, that’s touch and go sometimes according to what’s happening and the fact that we’re mortal, the physical body. So, this client comes back up. Okay. So, I covered that part. So, going to the table where the client is lying, I will use my pendulum and see if it turns counterclockwise, that’s the chakra that is where the information has lived. So, I’ll clear it out, what we’d call illuminating with the white light. So, I’m channeling the white light, filling it back in. That right there will be a definite cornerstone of the healing, the vision that happens. There’s other techniques I’m using, but that is the healing vision is like.
Srinika Narayan: Wow.
Kelley Kessler: When someone comes for a shamanic healing, that is what I’m doing. I’m asking the other side for the healing and information.
Srinika Narayan: Yeah, and that’s how physical human could work like on a physical issue. Yeah, yeah.
Kelley Kessler: Yeah. Then, sure enough, about three or four weeks later, I sent a follow-up e-mail with some questions that are voluntary. This client reported, yeah, all exclamation points like, “It’s gone. Amazingly, it’s gone.” I think, “Yeah, I saw that. I think that it is gone.”
Srinika Narayan: Very interesting, Kelley. Oh, my goodness. Wow. Very cool. How about other kind of things that people come to you with? So, okay, they can come with a physical problem, but what are common things that you see in your practice?
Kelley Kessler: Yeah. I’ll share … If you don’t mind, I’ll go back just a second to that last question.
Srinika Narayan: Yeah.
Kelley Kessler: So, what I like to do with my clients, not only am I closing my eyes, going into a trance and doing a shamanic journey to the other side, but I like to lead my clients into the shamanic journey so they can ask spirit and receive, directly divinate from spirit. So, that’s another piece that if you come for healing with me in a healing with me and you’d like to try, that can be very powerful. People will see their own healing vision, and then again, they could all say, “Blow it into the stone. Hand the stone to me.” I’ll find it in their chakras. All of us are divine channels or spirit in human body, so I just want to add that on there.
Srinika Narayan: Interesting, yeah.
Kelley Kessler: Yeah, it’s not just the practitioner although I am holding the space and the practitioner. It’s the journey or using our extraordinary senses are available to all of us.
Srinika Narayan: Yeah, fascinating.
Kelley Kessler: Okay. So, what people will come to me for healings, so sometimes, it’s the physical pain. Sometimes, it’s emotional pain, just something they’ve always felt. Maybe they will have gone to therapy, the different kinds of modalities. What’s nice about shamanism and energy healings is they’re complementary to each other. I don’t think any of us work in a vacuum.
Srinika Narayan: Right.
Kelley Kessler: So, some clients will be in therapy. They’ll get acupuncture. They will have physical therapy, but they also come for a shamanic healing. I think of it as very complementary. So, people will come, physical pain, emotional pain, disharmony in the home, disharmony in business, any kind of distress. That can be relational. People will come to me if they’re feeling stagnant, burned out, lack of vitality. I remember one client had taken LSD early on and never felt like he got all of himself back. They just-
Srinika Narayan: Wow.
Kelley Kessler: Some piece was left out there. So, we use these hallucinogens or plant medicine. They were done in ceremony. You’re instructed how to do it. When you leave yourself, you want to come back the same way. You may be in protected space.
Srinika Narayan: Any other things that people see you for?
Kelley Kessler: Yeah. So, people will see for … Sometimes, they’ll be requesting a healing on their child, so I deal with childhood stress, developmental delays, sometimes issues with transitioning loved ones. I do what’s called soul transitions sometimes. People’s souls are, many times, want to recapitulate and also resolve, deal with forgiveness before their transitioning. People will come to me for issues with their pets, so again, illness, disease, distress. I do entity removals or ghost removals sometimes.
Srinika Narayan: People do talk about the ghosts in their house sometimes.
Kelley Kessler: Yeah, ghosts in their house, ghosts in their business. Entities are ghosts that are attached to us, to our spines, and so our energies are … Just like on this side, many people will feel like it’s really the attention that we put onto somebody, right? We’ll have a piece of them either by in their thoughts or we’ll actually energetically have a piece of them, and so removing other people’s energies, removing entities, removing ghosts.
What else? Sometimes, people come for curiosity. They’re curious. They want to feel deeply relaxed or rejuvenated. They want to meet their power animal, their ancestors, their angels. I had a client once in a journey group where he had adopted his son from Africa, and he wanted to meet the mom, and he did. So powerful. We were all in tears. It was really moving.
Srinika Narayan: Wow.
Kelley Kessler: This is someone who didn’t necessarily believe in it or not. His wife had brought him to the journey group. He likes me. He trusts me. Okay. Boy, his visions. I don’t believe he knew he was clairvoyant, had really powerful visions. So, people can come to me for anything, any kind of healing or information, but those are some of the more common ones.
Srinika Narayan: Wow. Your work is for like every facet of life and the environment. Yeah.
Kelley Kessler: It seems to be. It seems to be. Again, going back to that attention and intention, so, whatever someone comes with, what do they want? What are they seeking? What are they asking for? Sometimes, they want clarity. “I don’t really like the career I’m in. These are my gifts. I want to get an idea of my future.” We’ll call it destiny retrieval. What is my destiny? What do I want to, with intention, receive in this lifetime or master in this lifetime, experience in this lifetime?
Srinika Narayan: Wow. It seems like this should be more commonplace, shaman or … Maybe in some cultures, it is, but here, it seems so out there, but it’s not actually. I guess, maybe it’s just been downplayed or just not given enough attention in Western culture or-
Kelley Kessler: Well, I think it may be, from my perspective, more than downplayed, literally murdered. I mean, if we are going back tens of thousands of years when we talk about other light beings to within the last tens of thousands of years, the indigenous people, when we lived indigenously on our land, in our tribe in harmony with the land, the animals, the plants before modern technology, before the Industrial Revolution, before modern colonization, so I believe through history as what we call sometimes the divine feminine are being murdered off, which is not just female. It’s that feminine energy.
Srinika Narayan: The earth.
Kelley Kessler: The earth, the magic of it, the unseen, the emotions, the unseen, the waters of it, the more playful energies. I think of the masculine as more of the structure like the chalice, and the feminine is the liquid put into it. So, if both of these energies in harmony, so if there’s all feminine and no masculine, it’s what I was taught as too much in the heart. There’s no structure, almost like the bleeding heart, but if it’s all masculine and in the head, it’s too cold, too firm, a little bit like Goldilocks and the three bears. Health comes in harmony. It’s right in the middle. It’s right in the balance.
It’s right in the harmony like with music when we hear harmonics. We can tell if it’s in tune or in harmony. So, I believe that it’s so unknown now because, one, it was murdered off. The laws were made where it was illegal in this country. Many of the natives, it was illegal to, well, one, be on their land, practice their language, their customs, their dress, their hair.
Srinika Narayan: So just kind of-
Kelley Kessler: This is very modern trauma that I think is still very much kind of the underbelly or hidden or not spoken about or at least I don’t think metabolized emotionally. I believe in it’s so recent. It’s almost like an amnesia, like it didn’t happen.
Srinika Narayan: Right, right.
Kelley Kessler: We’re not taught about it, and so again, kind of that raccoon, digging in there, digging in the dark, looking for the truth, the history. Where did I come from? How did I get here, and how these practices come downstream to me. I do believe that it’s so unknown because it was …
Srinika Narayan: Suppressed. Yeah.
Kelley Kessler: … suppressed, murdered, subjugated, suppressed, made illegal. We look at our Western patriarchal culture and our institutions. They’re not very feminine at all. We look at our laws even.
Srinika Narayan: Yeah. Oh, yeah, of course.
Kelley Kessler: Like the pregnancy laws, it’s a disability.
Srinika Narayan: Yeah.
Kelley Kessler: We’re living in modern times and also archaic times. The times are changing. It’s what we hear about the divine feminine uprising, seeking truth and balance. Again, not all feminine but that balance between the feminine and masculine. So, I believe people who practice it in their culture, in their families indigenously, that it was, that it was illegal. For myself and many of my colleagues who are light workers, seers, divine angelic channels we’ll talk about things many of us have access or had many past life regressions where we will have been-
Srinika Narayan: Something … That’s interesting.
Kelley Kessler: … medicine women or men, the oracle, the seer, burned on the stake. We call it the witch’s wound like, you just get a sense that you don’t want to-
Srinika Narayan: You’re not safe.
Kelley Kessler: Yeah. Even me, it took a lot to come out of the closet. It’s only very recently that I’m comfortable doing an interview, saying it out loud. I had to go. I had to do what I had to do, but for a long time, I just didn’t want to say it. I didn’t want to do it. I didn’t want to offend anybody culturally or this internal trauma that I’ve been murdered for before, or even just wanting to be accepted.
Srinika Narayan: Yeah, of course.
Kelley Kessler: “Oh, that’s the witches’ work or it’s woo-woo.
Srinika Narayan: Yeah, woo-woo. Yeah. Provocative.
Kelley Kessler: Provocative, yeah, but then it’s actually … They way I think, it’s nature. It is nature. It’s the nature of all things. It’s [inaudible 00:38:22] that everything is alive, and we may not be able to see it with the naked eye but many of us can see it with a third eye.
Srinika Narayan: Yeah. Well, wonderful.
Kelley Kessler: So, yeah, I think that’s why it’s not as commonly known or practiced.
Srinika Narayan: Okay. Yeah. Wow. Great. Well, what if people want to get a hold of you? Do you have a website?
Kelley Kessler: I do. I do.
Srinika Narayan: Yes. Please tell us so-
